Welcome new readers!
Hello!
If you are visiting after reading “Edtech Has Grown More Common, More Global and More Sophisticated. What’s Next?” on Edsurge, you’ve come to the right place!
I’ve been in the EdTech world for about 10 years. First at a venture-backed workforce development startup, then a big publisher, and then as an edtech-specialist VC. I started writing this newsletter during the pandemic as a way to connect with people while the world was locked down. It quickly grew into the thing I look forward to most every week!
I also found a format I liked writing and others seemed to enjoy reading. It may change in the future, but this is what the newsletter looks like today:
Focuses on the business side of education, or EdTech, but sprinkles in more general Education thoughts too
Comes out every Sunday night
Short but dense, typically about 5 minutes of reading time
Because it is short, it is not comprehensive. Just the funding announcements and articles that struck me that week
My writing is opinionated and is informed by my experiences and investments. I am particularly careful when I write about companies and topics where I might be biased, but believe you should know where I am coming from so I include a disclosure link in every post. Here is the most current one.
I am delighted to have you here and hope you enjoy reading my future posts! Please feel free to reach out to me - hit “reply” to the newsletter email and it goes straight to my inbox - anytime you like.
