You may have overlooked an important number for GiveCampus: length of contracts. I'm skeptical that the average contract size is $20K for 1 year. More likely it's 2 or 3 years and a good portion of the $20M in revenue is on the books as deferred revenue. I'm sure the funders know about this, but we need to be careful about use of the word "revenue" when we're on the outside looking in. Cash flows would tell a lot more.

I'd be a little surprised if their annual topline number was that far off what they've given techcrunch here - there's just not much incentive for them to fudge it. It is possible schools are paying multiple years up front (thus counting revenue from out years), but that just makes their cashflow cycle stronger to go out and chase new customers.

You are right though that $20K / year is an interesting number. It is big enough that it can't be put on a credit card, but still (likely) cheaper than a major CRM implementation. I calculated a very rough average in the above, I'd be curious to see what the true ACV + range is
